In 2017, three nonage musketeers in their 20s scraped together$ 900 and set up a hot funk stand in East Hollywood — just folding tables and a movable range under the night sky.Dream of (DHC) Dave’s Hot Chicken was in the beginning.
Word Spread. People Tasted. And Came Back.
Thanks to Instagram, food suckers started lining up — also bringing their musketeers. What started with a many prints turned into a full-bloated buzz.
One Bite That Changed Everything
A journalist from EATER LA stopped by, took one bite, and called it “ East Hollywood’s New Late Night Hot Chicken Stand Might Blow Your Mind. ” That’s when the dream turned real. They were very happy at that moment.
So Important began for us in that one unforgettable moment.
What started as a late- night idea with$ 900 and a portable range snappily turned into commodity much bigger than we ever imagined. The lines grew longer, stretching down the road and around the block. The energy, the hype, the stewing it came real. With that instigation, our family grew too an aged family joined the charge. And soon, what began as a sidewalk setup converted into our truly first store.
From that point on, our charge was simple to produce the juiciest, suggestive, most crave-good hot funk that would truly blow your mind.
